Who we are

SecGhost is a cybersecurity company dedicated to protecting sensitive information throughout its life cycle — creation, storage, sharing, transport and communication.

We are not a data company: we do not sell, rent or monetize user information. Security and privacy are our product, not our raw material.

What we don't collect

We do not collect personal data for the use of our products. ClearMeta requires no sign-up, no account, no e-mail, no personal data and no company data.

ClearMeta's processing happens locally, on your device. Your files — and the metadata inside them — are not sent to SecGhost.

Purpose of ClearMeta

ClearMeta's sole purpose is to protect authors and organizations against the involuntary leakage of data when publishing or sharing public documents — articles, proposals, reports and other files.

ClearMeta is a privacy and preventive sanitization tool: it identifies, removes and verifies metadata before a document leaves your control.

Misuse — disclaimer of liability

ClearMeta was developed exclusively for legitimate privacy-protection use. SecGhost is not responsible for misuse of the tool.

ClearMeta must not be used to tamper with, destroy or conceal evidence subject to a legal duty of preservation, nor for any unlawful purpose. Responsibility for the use of the tool lies entirely with the user.

This website

This website is built to operate with minimal information collection. Contact details you voluntarily send, by e-mail or through the site's forms, are used only to answer your request.

The campaign pages /clearmeta/adv and /clearmeta/licit use the Meta Pixel. On those pages, Meta receives browsing data, your IP address and browser cookies to measure and optimise the ads.

The same pages use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to understand how the page is used: page views, clicks, scrolling and session recordings, including interactions with the risk assessment. Recordings do not identify the visitor, and anything typed into form fields is masked and never appears in them. PostHog receives technical connection data such as your IP address and stores a random identifier in a cookie and in the browser's local storage to recognise repeat visits.

The rest of the site uses no pixel, no third-party analytics and no tracking cookies.

The document risk assessment on those pages asks for no personal data: we store only the answers and the traffic source, without identifying who answered.
